PATEK PHILIPPE

Ref. 5167A
Aquanaut 2007,

Beautiful Timepiece. Stainless Steel. The best new (updated) design PATEK has had in years.

In my opinion, this class and type of timepiece has only one competitor, Glashutte Original with its Sports Evolution Panoramadatum.

Both are Stainless Steel. Both have a unique sense of dignity and sophistication. I have a difficult time choosing which I would wear or buy first.

In truth I would wear either one and never look back. Both are just about all you would ever need in a fine timepiece.

I did say,” This class or type of timepiece.” By that I mean, both are luxury brands. Both are “Sports Watches.” Both use their own in-house movements. In this class of timepiece, there are only a few.

Note: Vacheron enters into the mix too but in a class by itself in many ways. More on Vacheron later.

The Aquanaut case is: 40 mm, measured from (10-4 o’clock.) If your measurement includes the crown, then of course, it is larger. The size is perfect for my wrist.

Difficult decision for me.

Thanks for watching.
