YES WATCH,
“Kundalini”

kun-da-li-ni : the yogic life force that is held to lie coiled at the base of the spine until it is aroused and sent to the head to trigger enlightenment
48 mm! this is a big watch with a big story on a very small planet.

A Global Time Peace.
The hand movement comes from Switzerland, the sapphire crystal from Germany and the chip is from Japan. The solar and lunar calculations are based on formulas from the US Navy and Meeus's algorithms. The PET countdown function comes from NASA. The programming is done out of Hong Kong with case and assembly completed in China.
Inspired by tribal shamans, ancestral astronomers, British chronologists and Swiss watch- makers, YES™ is headquartered in California, USA with a Viking at the helm.
YES™ is truly an international time watch, a symbol for one world.
I know YES Watch. I know Bjorn Kartomten the designer, founder and “Viking at the Helm” and I can say, that Yes watch is one of my favorites. It is one of the four non-mechanical watches that I will ever wear. The size is big at 48mm but not so big when you get familiar with all the functions available. Go to the website for all of the functions. I like to keep an eye on the sunrise/sunset graphic indicator and I get to see the exact sunrise and sunset times in graphic format for the other time zone I preset on the watch. At one glance you get the analog time and digital, if you want to keep it visible, the moon phase for the time zone you are in and there is more too. The dial goes WILD on the Solstice and Equinox to celebrate those moments.
From the YES watch website which is very informative: “What are equinox and solstice?
The sun turns 4 days out of the solar year of 365.4 days. Equinox, the only two days of the year when the days and the nights are each 12 hours long, is the day when the sun passes the equator. The equinox day/night is the template for all traditional watches and clocks. Fall Equinox falls around September 21st, and Spring Equinox around March 21st. Then we have the two solstices which is when the days are long and the nights are short, or vice versa if you are "down under". Summer Solstice falls around June 21st and Winter Solstice falls around December 21st. These 4 points of solar time, along with the moon, have been the foundation of time keeping across cultures since the dawn of time.”
NOTE: I was hoping that Bjorn would display fireworks on the dial, for the 4th of July, but I don’t think that will happen.
Seriously the YES watch is very solid, it looks great, will ALWAYS attract attention and if you want a real, world class watch with a story, then buy a YES watch.
It is, honestly, one of the only non-mechanical watches that will honor my wrist.
